The Good Place

I watched all of season 1 and am looking forward to season 2.

While the humor isn’t as good as Parks and Rec (now my gold standard behind Malcolm in the Middle), when it’s not funny, it’s pleasantly amusing and not eye-rollingly annoying (like The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt can be)

What kept me in it was the storyline. It was complex enough that I was intrigued but not confused. The characters are interesting enough that I was hooked but not emotionally invested.

There’s also the fact that everyone’s already dead (not a spoiler) so you you aren’t worried about anyone’s safety as a character or actor. That’s a nice change of pace. Becuase there’s a profanity filter, swearing is actually far more funny than “real” swearing.

Mostly, the acting talent carries this show. The writing is decent but really, you’ll just love watching everyone in the show.

Looking forward to more.
