A Jarmusch film from 2016. Like all of Jarmusch’s films, Paterson is very quiet, moody, and thoughtful.

It gives you its story up-front, but doles out the characters in droplets of poetry and brief splashes of art.

I am not being figurative or clever; that is how this film works and it’s beautiful.
